Service Description
The TEF Canada (Test d'Évaluation de Français) is an officially recognised French language exam accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for Express Entry, permanent residency, and work permit applications. At The French Academy, you register and sit the exam here — no external registration, no unfamiliar environment on exam day. Our teachers are certified TEF examiners, so the person who prepares you may be the same person who marks your exam. The exam assesses four components: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Results are delivered within 5 business days. Minimum target for Canada PR: NCLC 7 across all four components. Seats are limited per session — book early if you have a fixed visa or application deadline.
Cancellation Policy
Exam slots must be booked at least 5 days in advance. Rescheduling is permitted up to 7 days before your exam date — requests made after this window will not be accommodated. Cancellations are subject to a 15% administrative fee. Emergency cancellations with valid supporting documentation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The French Academy reserves the right to approve or decline reschedule requests at its discretion.
