Take the TEFAQ Exam for Quebec with TFA
For immigration procedures to Quebec, the Ministry of Immigration, Francisation, and Integration (MIFI) requires proof of French proficiency from applicants and recognizes the TEF Quebec (TEFAQ) exam.
The TEFAQ is also accepted by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for Canadian citizenship applications.
Take the TEFAQ Exam with The French Academy
As the primary applicant, you must demonstrate a minimum French proficiency level equivalent to Level 7 (advanced intermediate) on the Quebec Scale of French Proficiency Levels for Adult Immigrants. Alternatively, you can present a Level 2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to earn points for your application.
Depending on the immigration program you are applying for, the oral French skills of your spouse may also be evaluated. In this case, their French level must be at least Level 4 on the Quebec scale.
